Counseling for Children
|
|
We see many children of different ages in our Center who benefit from having
a safe place to explore family, school, and personal issues. The Center has
two specially equipped play therapy rooms with paints, toys, doll houses,
board games, and other therapeutic tools, which can be helpful to children
in working through important feelings and concerns.
|
|
The Center’s child counselors, who are trained and supervised in this special
area of counseling, are also are skilled in parent and teacher consultations.

Fees
|
Fees are established by the client and the counselor during the first session.
Fees are set on a sliding scale basis, taking into account family income,
number of dependents and a variety of other factors, including how many family
members are coming for counseling.
The fee is a per-session amount and is payable at the beginning of each weekly
session. Checks are preferable, made out to CSUEB. One visit per week is
typical for each client, whether seen individually or as part of a couple
or family.
|
|
|
Confidentiality |
|
All client information is protected in a professional manner. The content
of the session between client and counselor will not be released outside
the Center without the written consent of the client, except where specific
disclosure is mandated by law. Clients are fully informed regarding
